Oils on 13cm x 18cm panel

The Australian Outback is beautiful! At least so show the photos I’ve seen. 😀 So far I’ve never been further west than Longreach, though I was born at Mt Isa. I don’t remember anything though. Regardless of my lack of traveling experience, I love the colours that make up the Australian outback landscape. They are bold and strong which suggests that the outback can be a formidable foe if you get caught there unprepared. The many people, be they adventurers, explorers or simply workers on the vast cattle stations that make up the outback, who have died at the merciless hands of the outback attest to its being a powerful force to be reckoned with and definitely to be respected. So this painting is in memory of those who have lost their lives in the beautiful but vicious outback of Australia.
